  1. Hi – i am looking for more advice re an unresponsive Kindle3. The orange light comes on when charging.
I cant get the kindle to turn on, if I use the start switch and hold the orange light goes out after around 15- 20 secs, If I continue to hold the start switch the orange light comes on again after a short period, for another 15- 20 secs.
I’ve tried with the Home button too as above. I cant get the kindle to reboot or start at all.
I have also changed the battery but no change.
I’ve tried leaving it charging to mains, not PC, overnight and retrying the above – again no change.

    Time to give up?

  2. Ah that explains, I thought I had posted earlier.
Having trouble with a Kindle 3 that’s unresponsive. I had tried changing the battery but still the same.
When charging the Orange light is on. When unplugged there are no lights. If I hold the on switch slider while plugged in the orange light goes off after around 15 seconds. I’ve trid the items above both with and without the USB charger in. I cant get the kindle to reset or turn on. I’ve left it charging for a couple of hours before trying and also overnight.

Anything else you can suggest I can try or is that game over?
